Do you want to help to improve the lives of people affected by homelessness, addiction or mental health issues?

Since 1975 The Whitechapel Centre has been providing support services to some of society’s most vulnerable and socially excluded people. In 1992 we established one of the country’s first floating support services – a young persons’ housing support service. We have expanded considerably since our beginnings and today we employ over 60 staff and provide a comprehensive range of services that ensures that each person who becomes homeless or inadequately housed in Merseyside is given the opportunity to change their situation.

Whitechapel staff are characterised by their energy, commitment, compassion, integrity and professionalism – characteristics which enable us to deliver first class services and enjoy a great reputation.

As an employer we enjoy a low rate of turnover which enables us to offer our clients consistency and stability, but we are always on the look out for bright new stars wanting to join us!  We pride ourselves on the benefits we are able to offer to our staff team including life assurance, generous pension scheme, long-term sickness income protection scheme and Simplyhealth membership.  Staff complete a full induction on joining us and are encouraged to take up opportunities for continuing professional development.  We recognise how important it is to have a healthy balance between work and home life, however, and offer a flexible working scheme to the majority of our employees. We also have a number of family friendly policies that offer additional support to our employees who are parents or carers.

The Whitechapel Centre welcomes applications from suitably qualified or experienced people regardless of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief.  We are committed to developing and maintaining working environments and practices which ensure equality of opportunity in both the recruitment and advancement of staff.
