There are lots of innovative ways to raise money, have fun and help make a positive change to more lives. Use your imagination to come up with your very own fundraising activity. It doesn’t have to be a big physical challenge, look at the people you know who would help, the things you enjoy doing and develop it from there.
Before you start, get in touch with us, tell us your plans and we’ll support you along the way. We can provide fundraising materials, sponsor forms and lots of helpful tips, ideas and advice.
To spark your imagination here are a few ideas . . .
Organise a sponsored event . . . knitting, reading or sitting in a bath of beans – whatever you enjoy – or hate! Set yourself a challenge and ask family, friends and colleagues for sponsorship. You could even persuade them to join in!
Be sociable . . . host a Come Dine with Me evening with friends, hold an auction or organise a music night - sell tickets, organise entertainment and have a great night supporting The Whitechapel Centre.
If you’re part of a group who want to fundraise, hold a coffee morning, a cake bake or bag pack in a local supermarket.
Simple things . . . fill a smartie tube with 20p coins, have a swear jar, sell unwanted items on ebay or ask your local shop to take one of our collection cans.
