The Whitechapel Centre was set up in 1975 to address the growing numbers of homeless people around inner city Liverpool.  Today we employ over 60 staff and have a reputation not only for the range and quality of our services, but for our ability to get things done.

Our vision is to see that every person who is inadequately housed or homeless is given the opportunity to change their situation.  We aim to provide a seamless service, providing a balance between enabling, empowering and supporting individuals to address identified need and work towards achieving their potential.

Each week we provide over 800 people with housing related support services. There are many strands to the work we do, from providing basic needs such as shower and laundry facilities to providing a range of housing, resettlement and supported housing services which enable individuals to address their housing and support needs.
