Liverpool City Cold Weather Provision
We have been contracted by Liverpool City Council to open our day centre overnight to rough sleepers during periods of cold weather. The trigger is a prediction of temperatures of minus 2 or less for 3 days or more. To ensure that the service goes to those who need it most we will be allowing access to those who fit one of the following categories:
- Those who have been seen rough sleeping by Whitechapel's outreach team
- Those who have accessed The Whitechapel day centre
- Those who have been referred by an agency who know that the individual is rough sleeping.
We will be contacting 10 key agencies in the city including police, direct access centres and agencies working with rough sleepers when the trigger conditions occur.
Anyone with any queries relating to cold weather opening should ring Julie Prendergast on 0151 207 8613 or alternatively speak to reception on 0151 207 7617.
