Service User Involvement
The MOVE Project (Making Opportunities for Voluntary Employment)
The Whitechapel Centre MOVE Project can provide service users with the opportunity and support to become a volunteer and/or befriender. We provide pre volunteer courses to get you to the point where you are ready to undertake volunteer training. You can then enter one of our volunteer courses and train to become a volunteer.
There are also Service User Groups where people using the services of a range of providers can get together. These include:-
Community Voice - a group run by service users, for service users, of drug and alcohol services in the Liverpool area
Liverpool Mental Health Consortium – gives a voice to people who use mental health services to influence what is provided and how
We place service user influence at the heart of how we deliver services. We will agree with individual service users a support plan which sets out how we will work together to accomplish what they want to achieve. We ask our service users’ opinions on the service they receive during and at the end of their period of support from us. If you use our services you can get involved in helping to influence and improve services you and others receive.
