The work of The Whitechapel Centre is only possible because of so many wonderful people, including our trustees. Margaret Woods explains, “I choose to offer my time as a volunteer in appreciation of the lifelong learning opportunities I was given by my employer. I am a retired civil servant with a long career in senior leadership, operational delivery and transformational change.
"As a trustee I can contribute my unique professional knowledge and skills to help the charity fulfil its mission. Serving as a trustee is an overwhelmingly rewarding experience. I am passionate about improving the life chances for families and being a trustee enables me to give something back to a cause that is important to me.”
