We started supporting The Whitechapel Centre a few years back and at the time they were less well known. We wanted to support something local and see the money we donated being used here in Liverpool. We also like The Whitchapel Centre because we can help in other ways such as donating cheese for the Christmas meal and taking part in the Liverpool Sleepout.
We’re hosting a cheese breakfast for staff past and present, they will be mostly enjoying toasted things with cheese! We’re not forgetting our customers either, we have ordered a whole load of patisserie from our friends at French Corner to sell with all profits going to the Whitechapel Centre.
Which of your cheeses should people definitely travel across Liverpool to get?
All of them! The Baltic is a cheese rind washed in Summer Ale from Liverpool’s own Baltic Fleet brewery. It’s the closest thing to a Liverpool cheese. Oh and the Kick Ass Cheddar is becoming very popular.
