Person Specification: Able to work a morning (5.25 hours), afternoon (4 hours) or evening (4 hours) shift in a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment. Good communicator, comfortable engaging with people using the services. People person who is willing to work as part of a team.
Duties and responsibilities
To support the floor staff to ensure the appropriate handover of information at the start and end of each shift and the smooth running of the Centre.
To greet and admit visitors to the building, signing in via Service User Reception Sheets or General Visitor Book - ensuring records sheets are fully completed as instructed on induction.
Notify Triage worker of service user and visitor sign in’s so Triage can direct as necessary.
To receive donations and transport them to the appropriate storage facility (kitchen or portacabin).
To manage service users use of shower and laundry facilities – ensuring laundry sheets are fully completed as instructed on induction.
To provide service users with clean clothing and toiletries as requested by floor staff
To assist in the supervision of service users’ conduct, health, safety and welfare and report anything that may be of concern.
To work as part of a team to maintain good order of Reception, Bistro, Hallway and Toilets - ensuring hazards are removed and areas are kept clean and tidy.
To engage with service users and give encouragement where possible.
