Where? This role is will be based across Whitechapel Centre sites and other community locations, predominantly in Liverpool (L3) and the City Centre.
When? Shifts will take place Monday – Friday between 9am – 4pm.
What will I be doing? You will be supporting us to undertake consultation and feedback activities with our client group – ensuring that our services are meeting their needs, as well as enabling people who have experienced homelessness to have their voices heard. Undertaking one to one interviews, helping to facilitate focus groups and workshops, conducting phone surveys, as well as helping us to interpret and present data that is meaningful and accessible. You will also support participation in various research and consultation projects in a variety of fields – local government, the arts, health and social care to name but a few.
What do I need to do this? This role requires you to be reliable, empathetic, non-judgemental and approachable. A strong awareness of confidentiality, and an ability to respect a person’s sensitive information is required as well. Being organised and a confident communicator will also be helpful. Also, having some resilience is important, as you may be working directly with vulnerable people with multiple and complex needs, often presenting with challenging behaviour. Having good listening skills, and having strong professional boundaries is important too. You’ll also need to be over the age of 18.
