Who can use this service:
Anyone found rough sleeping in the Liverpool city region. Members of the public can let us know of a rough sleeper by sending an email to [email protected] or [email protected] or call 0300 123 2041 Opening hours: Support is provided as necessary Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Venue: Support workers offer an assertive outreach approach and work with clients in the street setting as well as hostels or day centres. |
City Region Assertive outreach team
The Assertive outreach team is funded by the Liverpool city region (Combined Authority) the team consists of four outreach workers (Whitechapel Centre) and 1 CPN (Brownlow health) and 1 CPN (Merseycare). The team deliver outreach Monday to Friday across the city region. Referrals are not made to the service, support is offered to individuals found to be rough sleeping. Our experienced support workers adopt an assertive outreach approach to engage with clients have their needs met in a holistic and person centred way and support people to come in doors and make positive changes. The health staff will engage rough sleepers during outreach or in temporary accommodation to offer health/ mental health support to those who have urgent need of treatment or not registered with health services. Rough Sleeper Initiative (RSI) – City Region City Region commission RSI support workers in Wirral, Knowsley, Halton and St Helens. Support workers offer and assertive outreach approach and work with clients in support settings such as hostels or day centres. Staff work with a case load of up to 10 individuals, supporting them to move on from rough sleeping into long term solutions; either hostel based accommodation or private rented accommodation and continuing to support them to settle into their accommodation. |
