Where? This role is based at throughout Liverpool.
When? Shifts are Monday –Friday, 10am -12.30pm and 12.30pm -4pm.
What will I be doing? Working between our Donations Service and Food Parcel Service, you will be dropping off food parcels at various locations, collecting donations from organisations, as well as transporting items between different Whitechapel sites. You will also drop off donations materials at business and community groups.
What do I need to do this? For this role, you need to have a driving licence and have access to your own appropriately insured vehicle. It is useful to be organised, comfortable in making decisions, as well as friendly and approachable. It can be quite a physical role, and can involve some lifting of bags of donations. You will also interact with the public who support us with donations of goods, so being comfortable representing the organisation in a friendly and positive manner is important too. This is a dynamic role, and the level of activity is dependent on which driving tasks need completing at any given time, so being comfortable helping out in either the Food Parcel operation or general donations between driving tasks can be useful. But most importantly, being happy to get stuck in and help where needed. You’ll also have to be over the age of 18.
