The pandemic has been challenging for all of us, not least people who are homeless. The way we deliver some of our rough sleeper services have changed dramatically. We're no longer providing large communal meals and the night shelter has been replaced with numerous emergency accommodation options dispersed around the city. But our outreach team remain out on the streets every day and night, responding to calls to the Always Help Available phone line, encouraging people to come indoors.
This Christmas we will be open for anyone who is rough sleeping, providing a warm safe space, a gift and a cooked Christmas Dinner. We'll also be distributing gifts and Christmas treats to over 700 clients around the city. For many, this will be their first Christmas without their own home.
We can only do this because of the kind donations we receive. We’re running a Christmas appeal which gives people a few different ways to support us – volunteer, donate useful things or support financially.
Your support will help us continue our work this Christmas and give people the opportunity to change their lives throughout the year.
Please give generously. Thank you.
